DO I HAVE TO TAKE MY VEHICLE WHERE MY INSURANCE COMPANY REFERS ME TO?
Don’t get STEERED. Your insurance company may ask you to have your vehicle repaired at a regular body shop they recommend. However, your insurance company will allow you to have your vehicle repaired where YOU prefer. We will work on your behalf with all insurance companies. We will advise you exactly how the insurance adjuster proposes to repair your vehicle. Your interest is our only goal. We will act on your behalf with the insurance company involved to make sure your vehicle is repaired correctly. Our collision specialists guarantee your total satisfaction with our service and repairs.
WILL YOU BILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY?
In most cases we will not. Your contact person will advise you there will be a need to collect the funds before the delivery of your vehicle is possible. There are a select few companies that unfortunately do not act in good faith when promising payment and ICON reserves its right to require payment in full when it is deemed necessary to secure funds.
WHO DO I PAY MY DEDUCTIBLE TO?
If the claim is under your insurance policy, your insurance company will pay the claim over the amount of your deductible written in your policy. You are responsible to pay ICON Collision Services the deductible amount when your car is ready. If you are a claimant and the other parties insurance accepted responsibility, you will not have a deductible.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
ICON accepts Master Card, Visa, Discover, Personal Checks (with ID) and Insurance Company Checks. ICON does not accept third-party payments. Ask your adviser for details
IS MY VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS IF THE FRAME IS DAMAGED?
No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of your vehicle. Today, most cars are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly skilled technicians, with the aid of our state-of-the-art computer measuring system, can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that the frame section is bent beyond repair, that section can simply be replaced.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY CAR IS READY?
You will be notified when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. We will call you and/or email you as well. Feel free to call or e-mail your adviser during the repair process if you have questions or concerns.
HOW CAN I GET A RENTAL CAR?
If you need a rental car, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are the claimant. Check your policy and/or call your insurance company to find out if you have rental coverage and what your specific limitations are.
